Keith “Dr. Luv” McWaters is the drummer and percussionist for Delta Drift, anchoring the band with nearly five decades of professional experience. He began playing drums at age 12, influenced early by his mother, a singer and guitarist, and shaped musically by Southern rock icons like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, and The Marshall Tucker Band.

Over the years, Keith has performed with numerous regional artists and bands,and has played major events such as the Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds before crowds of more than 8,000. Known for his ambidextrous playing style, dynamic fills, and commanding stage presence, Keith brings both power and precision to Delta Drift’s live show. His approach emphasizes serving the song while delivering a memorable, high-energy experience that keeps fans coming back.
